The Sustainable Guide to Male Grooming

A few eco-friendly bathroom swaps could make the world of difference on our environmental impact, but you shouldn’t have to sacrifice on efficacy, or desirability to play your part.

So we've selected some of our favourite sustainable brands that are just as good, if not better, than the usual single-use suspects in our bathroom.

1.  Dr. Hauschka £

Dr. Hauschka, a German skincare specialist with roots in natural medicine, is committed to sustainability, organic, biodynamic and fair trade farming.

The manufacturing process is fully powered by renewable energy and the elegant packaging is made of glass bottles and lined aluminium tubes.

Dr Hauschka's shower cream is a must-try and made from recyclable and recycled materials. Its water-free formula combines plant-based ingredients that nourish even the most sensitive skin.

2. Typology £

Typology, a B Corp certified brand, is all about minimalism. Their vegan and cruelty-free skincare line was created to simplify the beauty industry by offering straightforward products. Their Ten line includes body creams and conditioners, that contain no more than ten natural ingredients, whilst still delivering maximum results.

One of our favourites is the pure jojoba oil, from Argentina and Peru - is extracted from the oily seeds found on wild jojoba plants. Apply it directly to your skin, hair, or mix it into your moisturiser.

Our favourite is their natural deodorant. The scent is smoky and woody, thanks to its blend of essential oils, Aloe Vera, witch hazel and organic chamomile.

It is free from aluminium and parabens, giving you extra peace of mind.

In keeping with their green manufacturing method, Journeymen donates 1% of sales to the organisation 1% For The Planet.

4. Maapilim ££

If you're looking for premium natural self-care essentials, inspired by Tel Aviv's beautiful seashore, look no further than Maapilim.

Their products are made with the region's unique natural oils and extracts, which are known for their skin and hair benefits.

Maapilim’s stylish shaving cream made with natural ingredients, such as jojoba to balance oil production and rosemary to lock in moisture, is an absolute treat.

 5.  Prospector Co. ££

Prospector Co. debuted in 2010 as a line of men's grooming products ranging from no-shave to post-shave.

With skin sensitivity in mind and post-shaven skin being at its most fragile, the brand approaches product creation with a streamlined and clear component list.

Each product offers nostalgia and methodology, by incorporating elements from a bygone age in its presentation, scent and small-batch manufacturing.

Add to your basket the K.C. Atwood Aftershave. Energising citrus and sweet orange notes are complemented by witch hazel and aloe, while citrus and coriander tie everything together for a clean, crisp finish.
